This day will go down as one of my favorite days in the whole world. We started the morning with what I soon learned to be the only way to start our dates that could potentially involve hiking . . . coffee. We stopped to get coffee at Carmel Coffee Roasters. We slowly made our way down the coast soaking in what we knew to be our last day before splitting in 2 different directions. That for sure was the elephant in the room the whole day, the antagonizing question of, “well… what are we gonna do about this inevitable distance between us?” Thankfully pancakes with nutella and banana’s proved to allow us the space to answer that ominous question. I remember at first thinking and later saying, “ I would be shooting myself in the foot if we decided to go our separate ways and not work to make this work.” At that point, I made the commitment to us, to fighting every day, every long distance call, to pursue you relentlessly. And, I haven’t looked back since. Today, I can confidently say that these past months with you have shown me that God has answered my prayer for the beautiful woman of God that you are.
Unfortunately only one chair fit in the back of my car, and I got to kiss you for the first time. Also, I was so thankful that we met those two girls that we offered Nutella pancakes to. To our surprise, they were in exchange for 1 film photo that will forever engrave those moments sitting and looking upon the rugged coastline together.
The few amount of photos on this slide illustrate the very little I captured in order to remember everything special about that day and soaking in our time together.
